The question in the title: What a good consultation looks like from the other side I will give what I have already checked below so nobody repeats it.

Asking about a population rather than about a person.

The published trials in this class mostly enrolled a fairly specific group, and the questions here frequently come from people well outside it. I would like to understand what the honest position is when someone falls outside the studied population: not "it is fine" and not "there is no data", but what the reasoning actually looks like.

Picking up post #7: that is the part I would want checked first.

What to bring: copies of relevant lab results, pharmacy records (to confirm doses actually taken), and records of any adverse effects you have experienced with other medications. Documentation is stronger than memory.

Asking about monitoring: understand what lab work will be done, how often, and what you will be monitored for. A plan is better than ad-hoc monitoring.

n.krastev, post #16: Discussing side effects: be specific. "Nausea" is less useful than "I have nausea worst 24 to 36 hours after injection, severity 2 to 3 out of 4, stable over weeks". That description helps determine whether to adjust dose or dose timing. Go to post

For anyone arriving from a search: the marked solution above is the direct answer, and the replies underneath it add the caveats that make it safe to use.

Picking up post #19: that is the part I would want checked first.

Prescription logistics: confirm whether it will be filled locally, requires mail order, or will be prescribed off-label and needs a compounding pharmacy. Different paths have different implications.
