What we collect

For an account: a handle, an email address, a password we never see in readable form, and optionally a location, a short bio and any group declarations you choose to show. Nothing else is required — no real name, no phone number, no photograph.

Automatically: ordinary server request logs, and reading counts used to compute trust levels.

What we do not collect

No advertising or analytics trackers. No cross-site profiling. No third-party scripts beyond the font files needed to render the page. Sponsor placements are static — they do not observe you, and clicking one tells the site nothing.

What is public

Your handle, your posts, your join date, your trust level, your badges, your likes given and received, your marked solutions, and anything you put in your profile. Your email address is never shown to other members. Treat everything else as public, because it is.

How long

Posts are kept indefinitely — see the archive clause in the terms. Request logs are discarded within a short period. Account records are kept while the account exists; the handle and posts remain after closure so topics stay readable.

Who we share with

Nobody, commercially. Ever. Data is disclosed only where the law compels it, and where we are permitted to say so, we will.

Your requests

You may ask what we hold, ask for corrections, ask for your account to be closed, or ask for personal detail to be removed from a post. Post in meta or message a staff member. Requests about somebody else's post naming you are handled case by case, usually by redaction rather than deletion.

Cookies

Covered separately in the cookie notice. There are few and none of them watch you.
